According to witnesses at the scene, Geisinger was being held in Danville. There were reports of a heavy police presence on the hospital campus.

One person died outside Geisinger’s Danville school district as police actively investigated a shooting, the Montour County coroner confirmed. The facility is currently in lockdown as a person outside the hospital has been confirmed dead.

Police are currently investigating the shooting. The suspect is currently unidentified and is not in custody, according to the coroner. State police and troops from Montour and Columbia counties are on the scene
